This book (book 5: The Scorched Lands) has been a real treat to write. I am having so much fun doing something that I think you all are going to LOVE! There are so many different back stories, and side stories, and little teaser mysteries that are happening in this book that really make some of the side characters really come to life. As I grow as an author, I am really enjoying the process of how ideas and pieces of the story that really make the world feel REAL come into play. I am so, SO, excited to get book 5 out to you all as soon as I can, and see what you think about all the little secrets that begin to pop up all over the place. It is also looking like this book miiiight be just a tad longer than the others have been haha. Hopefully not too much longer, as I want them to be similar in length, but I am already at around 71-74% of my word count goal, and still have a lot of story to tell before we can wrap this one up. Having the time of my life writing, and hoping that you all enjoy the story as much as I am :) May the Light be with you all!

It's been a while since I have written anything on this forum. I started this journey with not many followers or fans, but those numbers are quickly increasing. I've decided that it would be a good idea, even if there aren't many who see/read these, to get into the habit of updating with some fun information every so often so that you can get to know me and the story a little bit better. I'll tell you that book 5 is coming along splendidly! As of this post I am currently 55% of the way done and I have a very clear picture of what is going to happen in the rest of this book. This book in particular is heavy on the battles and the mystery. You also get to know a few new characters, and dive deeper into a few characters that have been sitting in the background. Speaking of sitting in the background... In book 4 we started getting little peaks into what the Dark Mage Maelos is up to... Be ready to get a LOT more of that in book 5! He's finally coming out of the shadows... deciding that it is no longer necessary for him to sit and wait. If he want's to truly become the immortal being and ultimate ruler of the world, then it's now his turn to uncover ancient mysteries and participate in epic battles! The true power of Darkness will be revealed as he begins to move to the forefront of this epic conflict! Hope you all are as excited as I am about book 5! We are getting ever closer to the epic conclusion... though if you know anything about me or the series itself, you'll know that before the story ends in book 7 there is bound to be a surprise or two ;) May the Light be with you all!
